Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games have announced Wildgate, a first-person shooter that blends intense spaceship combat with on-foot firefights. It’s launching in 2025 for PS5, Xbox, and PC via Steam, and there’s a playtest from April 10 to 14 for all platforms. Sign-ups are open now on the official website.

Wildgate throws you into chaotic, high-stakes battles where every match plays out differently. You and your crew are prospectors, hunters chasing The Artifact, a mysterious and priceless object. Whether you’re sabotaging rival ships, repairing your own, or looting derelict wrecks, the goal is simple: survive and escape, or take down every other crew.

- Spaceship combat with room for creativity – Fire hi-tech cannons, mess with enemy systems, or lure ships into traps. Just don’t let them do the same to you.
- Every match is different – The game’s procedurally generated world changes every time, so no two battles play out the same.
- Unique characters, unique playstyles – Choose from different prospectors, each with their own tools and abilities. Whether you’re a pilot, fighter, or trickster, there’s no wrong way to play.
- Risk versus reward – The Reach is full of cosmic storms, alien ruins, and space vermin. If you want the best loot, you’ll have to take some risks.
- The ultimate heist or last-crew-standing – Either grab The Artifact and escape through the Wildgate, or wipe out the competition to claim victory.
