Why Bloodhunt is ending

The studio announced the closure on the game’s website, explaining that the player count has dropped too low to keep the servers running. It’s a disappointing farewell, but one that’s been on the horizon for a while. Bloodhunt launched in April 2022 after a short early access period, blending supernatural combat with parkour and gunfights across the rooftops of Prague.

In 2023, Sharkmob ended development on new content, choosing instead to keep the game alive for its remaining fans. Since then, the player base has slowly faded, with Steam stats showing only a few hundred active users in recent months.

Purchasing in-game tokens has now been disabled, though players can still use what they have until the shutdown. Once the servers are gone, all data and progress will vanish with them.

In their farewell message, Sharkmob thanked the community for its passion, saying, “The sun is now going to rise over Prague.”
