Valor Mortis reveal trailer

You will take on the role of William, a soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée who falls in battle but is resurrected by a mysterious plague. The Europe he awakens to is corrupted by endless war and haunted by Napoleon’s Eternal Guard.

Combat focuses on precision, with parries, dashes, and visceral finishers supported by supernatural abilities unlocked through the plague’s power. Each death strengthens the player, keeping the challenge at the core of the experience.

Exploration follows a Metroidvania-inspired approach, with levels full of secrets and alternate paths that reward curiosity. Alongside its grim combat, the story weaves together horror, conspiracy, and a twisted take on history.

It’s ambitious, grim, and exactly the kind of challenge fans of the genre are itching for. Valor Mortis might just be the Soulslike twist nobody saw coming.
