Two Falls (Nishu Takuatshina) is finally making its way to consoles. After launching on PC via Steam back in November 2024, the single-player narrative game will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox on 2 May, developer Unreliable Narrators confirmed.

Two Falls isn’t just about walking through pretty woods, though it delivers on that front thanks to Unreal Engine 5. At its core, it’s a deeply personal story told through the eyes of two very different people: Jeanne, a young French woman washed ashore and alone, and Maikan, an Innu hunter feeling something is deeply wrong in the forest that raised him.

What makes Two Falls stand out is how it plays with perception. One event, two characters—completely different understandings. You’ll switch between Jeanne and Maikan, experience their thoughts, hear their languages, and slowly piece together a world on the brink of change. It’s a linear story, yes, but the way you explore, respond, and connect with others will shape how each of them grows.

And yes, there’s a dog. Jeanne’s companion, Capitaine, is an English Shepherd who survives the shipwreck with her. You can pet him.

The game was created in close collaboration with Indigenous creatives from Canada. From music to art to storytelling, voices from Innu and First Nations communities helped shape this experience. Eadse, an Indigenous artist, composed the soundtrack, and a Council of Elders worked with the team to guide how the story is told.

If you missed it on PC, this console release is your second chance to dive into something thoughtful, emotional, and genuinely different.
