Creative Assembly is taking Total War to the grimdark future. Total War: Warhammer 40,000 was revealed at The Game Awards 2025. Stranger Things’ David Harbour will play a mysterious character.

This is the first Total War game on consoles. PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC will all get it. The trailer shows battles spanning multiple planets. The scale is bigger than ever.
Four factions are confirmed. Space Marines are few but deadly, striking with precision. Orks are endless, chaotic, and love smashing enemies. Aeldari are fast and elusive, hitting then disappearing. Astra Militarum bring disciplined soldiers, tanks, and artillery to grind foes.
No release window has been revealed. Fans will have to wait to see this epic war unfold.
