THQ Nordic today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Vienna-based studio Pow Wow Entertainment, making it a 100% subsidiary of THQ Nordic.
Currently, the studio is working on two not yet publicly disclosed projects, of which one project belongs to the franchise portfolio of THQ Nordic.
The acquisition includes the development studio with its team of around 20 developers and all IP rights.
The acquisition price will not be disclosed, and Pow Wow Entertainment will remain an independent development studio under THQ Nordic. The team will keep its full creative freedom and will self-publish their games going forward.
I love games; horrors and puzzle/strategy are my favourite genres but I enjoy playing pretty much anything. I still believe a good story is important and shouldn't play second fiddle to the multiplayer experience unless via a co-op campaign. I also enjoy watching football, supporting the mighty Liverpool, as well as drinking tea and petting my kittens.
