The Outer Worlds 2 is no longer launching at $79.99 (about £62). Obsidian Entertainment has dropped the price to $69.99 (around £55). The game will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox on October 29.
The original price didn’t sit right. The Outer Worlds was solid, but not huge. Charging $80 felt like a stretch. Fans pushed back, and now it’s cheaper.
Bigger world, better combat in The Outer Worlds 2
At the Xbox Showcase last month, we got a closer look at the game. The trailer teased the story. A follow-up presentation showed off gameplay. Combat looks faster and sharper this time.

The first game had great writing and characters. But the gameplay fell short. That might change in the sequel.
With a bigger budget and more polish, this could be the game fans hoped for. The lower price helps, too.
The Outer Worlds 2 launches soon. Will you give it a shot now that it’s $10 cheaper?
