Tears of the Kingdom gets Switch 2 upgrade with new features and better performance

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, which will launch alongside the Switch 2 on June 5th. This enhanced version promises better performance and exclusive features for the new hardware.

Upgrade options and compatibility

Players who already own Tears of the Kingdom on Switch can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing an upgrade pack from Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store, or select retailers. The original game will remain playable on the Switch, but upgraded features are exclusive to Switch 2.
