A banner spotted in Japan suggests Ubisoft could soon reveal The Division: Definitive Edition. The image appeared at the FPS Day X event and was shared online by domen0204, quickly sparking discussion among fans of the series.
With the game’s 10th anniversary set for 2026, the timing feels deliberate. Many now believe Ubisoft could be lining this up as part of its anniversary plans, giving the original game a fresh push on modern platforms.
Confidence in the franchise is clearly high. Julian Gerighty recently said The Division 3 is “shaping up to be a monster” and could have an impact similar to the first game. That makes a polished return to Division 1 feel like a smart move.

The Division 2 realism mode adds a new twist
The same event also delivered updates for The Division 2. A new ‘Realism mode’ is launching in March 2026, aiming for a more grounded and intense experience.
Combat will be faster, time-to-kill will be lower, and weapon damage will depend on bullet caliber. The mode also cuts back the UI, limits the HUD, removes health regeneration, and reduces cooldowns to keep things tense.
Developers described this as only the beginning, teasing more announcements ahead.
Elsewhere, the game received a 60 FPS update on PS5 in 2025, while The Division 2 continues development under a small but focused team.
