Capcom is bringing the fight to the Nintendo Switch 2 with Street Fighter 6 launching on June 5, 2025, alongside the console’s debut. That’s not all, on the same day, a Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will be available across PlayStation, Xbox, PC via Steam, and yes, the Switch 2, bundling all characters and stages released in the first two years.
Street Fighter 6 on Switch 2 – What’s new?
This isn’t just a simple port; Capcom is making sure Street Fighter 6 takes full advantage of the Switch 2’s features. With local wireless matches, tabletop mode, and even motion-controlled Gyro Battles, the game is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic fighting experiences on the platform.
- Local Wireless Match – Face off against your friends in one-on-one battles without needing an internet connection.
- Local Avatar Match – Bring your custom World Tour avatar into battle and show off your unique fighting style.
- Tabletop Mode – Play anywhere using the Joy-Con controllers, with Classic, Modern, and Dynamic control types optimised for the Joy-Con 2.
- Gyro Battle – Motion controls enter the arena! Shake, tilt, and strike your way through fights using the Joy-Cons.
- Calorie Contest – A fitness-infused mode where you burn calories while fighting—because why not?

Collectible amiibo and cards
Capcom is launching Street Fighter 6 amiibo figures featuring Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly, alongside collectible amiibo cards. The Starter Pack includes all 22 Year 1 characters, with booster packs coming later. These unlock in-game bonuses like wallpapers, photo frames, and exclusive music tracks. Even Super Smash Bros. Ryu and Ken amiibo will work with the game for extra rewards.

Years 1-2 Fighters Edition
For those who want it all, the Years 1-2 Fighters Edition is the perfect pick. It comes with:
- 26 characters (including DLC fighters from the first two years)
- 20 stages
- Outfit 1, Colours 3-10 for each character

Both the standard edition and the Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will be available on Switch 2. Capcom promises more details soon, so stay tuned to the official Street Fighter 6 website for updates.
