Creepy Jar‘s new project, StarRupture, is a first-person open-world base-building game, and it’s heading to Steam Early Access on January 6th, 2026. The studio has also dropped the very first gameplay trailer to mark the reveal.

StarRupture puts players on a stunning but unstable alien planet. The world shifts constantly, keeping exploration tense and unpredictable. You’ll gather resources, set up a base, and defend it against waves of alien creatures. Combat plays a big role, but building and managing machines is just as important.
You can dive in solo or bring friends along in co-op. The Early Access version supports up to four players working together to fight, craft, and survive. For now, the game offers one large biome to explore along with a range of tools to mine, harvest, and automate production.
The team plans to stay in Early Access for at least a year. That means a full release isn’t expected until sometime in 2027. When it arrives, players can look forward to much more: multiple biomes, stronger enemies, more advanced building systems, fresh mechanics, and even a full story mode.
This is looking like one of the more ambitious survival-building titles out there, blending fast-paced action with deep construction systems.
