Former Need for Speed and Burnout developers at Fuse Games have officially unveiled Star Wars: Galactic Racer during The Game Awards 2025. The arcade racer will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox in 2026.

Rather than focusing only on podracing, Star Wars: Galactic Racer blends pods with familiar speeders. It looks fast, chaotic, and very arcade-first, clearly shaped by the team’s racing background.

The game is being developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode. It was the second Star Wars title revealed at TGA this year and joins a growing list of six confirmed games currently in development.

Next to projects like Eclipse, the Knights of the Old Republic remake, Fate of the Old Republic, Zero Company, and the next Jedi game, Galactic Racer brings a very different tone. It is less cinematic and more focused on speed, replay value, and moment-to-moment thrills.

According to Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster, each race is built around dynamic risk and reward. The aim is to make every run feel fresh and unpredictable.

Players will customise their vehicles and compete in the Galactic League. You begin as an unknown racer in the Outer Rim and fight your way towards galactic fame.
