South of Midnight is officially heading to PlayStation 5, bringing the former Xbox exclusive to a new audience later this month.

A new trailer from Sony confirms that South of Midnight will launch on PS5 on March 31. The game first released in 2025 on Xbox and PC, and it is still available through Microsoft’s Game Pass for subscribers.

Players step into the role of Hazel, a Weaver with the power to mend broken spirits and emotional wounds. Her journey takes place in a dark fantasy version of the American South, heavily inspired by regional folklore.

Hazel is searching for her missing mother while trying to protect her hometown from supernatural threats. Along the way, she faces strange creatures and troubled spirits. Instead of simply defeating them, Hazel can use her abilities to uncover their past and heal their trauma.

The adventure also explores eerie locations across the region, including the decaying Prospero County.

The PS5 launch reflects Xbox Game Studios’ broader push to bring its titles to more platforms. Recent releases like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle have already found success on PlayStation.

Other Xbox projects are also expected to follow, including a remake of the original Halo campaign and the next Fable entry. It is a clear sign that Xbox is expanding beyond its traditional console ecosystem.
