Tactical Adventures has officially revealed Solasta II, the highly-anticipated sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister. The game will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam in 2025, with a demo expected to be available earlier in the year.

Mathieu Girard, the creative director at Tactical Adventures, shared his excitement in a press release, saying, “Our team of 35 combines deep expertise with a passion for crafting immersive and challenging gaming experiences.” He highlighted the success of their first game, which resonated with over 1.5 million players. With Solasta II, the team aims to push the boundaries of tactical gameplay while maintaining the accessibility that players love.

The game takes place on a new continent called Neokos, a land full of magic, massive landscapes, and rich lore. Players will face a new villain, Shadwyn, who is determined to reclaim her lost power. As players explore this vast world, they will make choices that impact their journey and fate.

Key features of Solasta II

  • Complete party management and customisation: Create a party of four adventurers, each fully voiced and with unique skills and abilities.
  • Up to four players online cooperative play: Team up with others to strategise and share tactical victories.
  • Turn-based tactical combat: Engage in strategic battles using the full depth of the Dungeons & Dragons 5E ruleset.
  • Unreal Engine 5: Enjoy stunning visuals and immersive environments.
  • Console optimisation: Play with a controller, offering an experience just as smooth as using a mouse and keyboard.

Solasta II will also allow players to freely explore Neokos, whether sticking to the main roads or venturing into the wilds. However, every decision carries weight, and players should be ready for the consequences.

As Girard puts it, “You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.”

With its mix of strategic depth and familiar tabletop mechanics, Solasta II promises to be an exciting addition to the RPG genre when it arrives in Early Access. Fans of Solasta: Crown of the Magister will have much to look forward to as the team continues to expand and improve on their successful formula.
