The Serious Sam Shatterverse reveal at the Xbox Partner Preview in March 2026 brings back the series with a fresh twist. Serious Sam Shatterverse is all about fast, chaotic action, but this time with roguelite elements and co-op play at its core.
Players can team up in squads of up to five, blasting through shifting universes that change every run. It’s still loud, still messy, and very much Serious Sam, but now there’s more replay value built into the loop.

The trailer shows off huge enemy waves, strange environments, and plenty of over-the-top weapons. If you’ve played the older games, this feels familiar, but a bit more modern.
You’ll stack upgrades, tweak modifiers, and break the rules as you go. If you fail, you jump back in stronger and faster.
This shift to roguelite design could make the game more addictive, especially in co-op. Every run should feel different, which keeps things fresh.

The game is set to launch in 2026 for Xbox X|S and PC, with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
