NetEase Games and Joker Studio, the developers behind Identity V, have announced Sea of Remnants, a brand-new free-to-play RPG that’s set to arrive in 2026. It’s coming to PlayStation 5, PC (Steam), iOS, and Android, offering players an open-ended adventure across mysterious seas filled with secrets, strange characters, and high-stakes choices.
In Sea of Remnants you’ll begin your journey as a puppet-like sailor, shipwrecked and missing every memory of who you are. Guided by a mysterious girl, you’ll explore islands, battle sea monsters, and uncover the secrets of a city slowly waking up to its forgotten past.

Sea of Remnants centres around Orbtopia, an ancient city that evolves depending on how you interact with it. There are over 300 NPCs in the city alone, each with their own routines and behaviours. You can choose to befriend them, argue with them, or even remove them entirely from the story. Your decisions impact political shifts, power struggles, and the general flow of daily life within the city.
It’s not just for show; rival factions rise or fall based on the relationships you build and the paths you choose. So every time you start a new game, the city could look, feel, and act completely differently. It’s a world designed to respond in unpredictable ways.

Beyond the city lies a stunning sea full of wonders and dangers. Sea of Remnants promises a realistic ocean system, including wave physics, dynamic weather, and a wide variety of marine wildlife.
