Set on a post-apocalyptic desert world called Sophie, SAND puts players in the role of survival-focused pirates fighting to gather resources and escape alive. The game blends PvPvE combat, exploration, and base-building, all powered by huge mechanical walkers known as Tramplers.

These towering machines are central to the experience. They’re not just for getting around, they’re your mobile base, your strongest defence, and your best offence. You can build and customise them to suit your playstyle, whether that means storage-heavy and defensive, or armed to the teeth for aggressive plays.

The world of Sophie is harsh and unpredictable. Players will explore ruined cities, abandoned monuments, and scattered wreckage while searching for valuable loot. Along the way, you’ll clash with enemy players and AI-controlled threats, all while trying to make it out alive with your haul.

Combat plays out in first-person and supports both solo and team play. You’ll be able to defend your walker, raid others, and fight off the undead in intense shootouts that mix tactics, timing, and raw firepower.

If you enjoy high-stakes survival games with player-driven chaos, think Escape from Tarkov meets Mad Max. SAND is one to keep on your radar.

It’s available to wishlist on Steam now, and console pre-orders are expected closer to launch. Expect more updates as we head towards its 2025 release.
