PLAYISM, Japan’s oldest Indie publisher, is thrilled to announce that Rusted Moss is coming to Steam soon. This action-packed Metroidvania game takes inspiration from folktales and desolate landscapes, making for an exciting adventure.
Players will take on the role of Fern, a changeling on a mysterious mission while Fae invades the human realm. To navigate the hostile land and take down mechanical monsters, players will use an intuitive grappling hook to fly across desolate landscapes drenched in melancholy. Witness the remnants of humanity and their rusting iron inventions as they struggle to survive the invasion of the faeries. As humans were deceived by the fae, Fern sets off on a journey to return Fae to the world and end the Age of Men, alongside the mysterious shadow named Puck.
“We initially planned to release Rusted Moss in February, but we decided to delay the release to allow more time for the developers to polish and perfect the game. We apologize to all of you who were waiting for the release, but it is coming very soon and we’re confident that the extra time taken will give you an even more amazing experience with this ‘Grapplevania’. Please look forward to further announcements!” said Shunji Mizutani, Executive Producer for PLAYISM.
Rusted Moss features creative platforming that focuses on a grappling hook, fast-paced bullet-hell-inspired boss fights, and unique trinkets that give your character special abilities. Customize your playstyle and explore a beautiful and desolate environment.
