Sci-fi horror fans finally have the news they’ve been waiting for. After vanishing from the spotlight for half a decade, Lunar Software has announced that Routine will launch on PC in late 2025. The reveal came with a chilling new trailer from publisher Raw Fury, giving us the best look yet at the game’s unsettling atmosphere.
ROUTINE official release window trailer
Set inside a derelict lunar base, Routine draws on a retro-futuristic vision of the 1980s. The world is designed to feel familiar yet alien, with crumbling living quarters, abandoned shopping areas, and cold industrial passages to explore. Survival means more than simply avoiding danger – it’s about piecing together the mystery of what happened before your arrival.

The game’s focus on immersion sets it apart. Instead of a cluttered HUD, Routine leans on full-body awareness and diegetic audio to keep players grounded. Every sound in the darkness and every shadow in the distance becomes part of the tension.
While the technical details, including PC specs, remain under wraps, for now, the new trailer sets the tone for what looks to be one of 2025’s most unsettling sci-fi horror experiences.
