Gearbox Publishing and Gearbox Software have announced the next major addition to Risk of Rain 2—the Alloyed Collective DLC. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, the content is already generating excitement among fans.
What’s in the Alloyed Collective DLC?
This Risk of Rain 2 DLC is set to expand the Risk of Rain 2 universe with a range of fresh content, including new stages, survivors, drones, enemies, and more. One of the coolest aspects? Only one player in a lobby needs to own the DLC for everyone to experience the new monsters, stages, and items. However, without the Risk of Rain 2 DLC, you won’t be able to select the two new survivors or permanently unlock new items, logbooks, or other features.

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
- Six new stages: Get ready to dive into varied biomes, from scrapyards and fortresses to cavernous depths, each offering its own unique challenges and environmental threats.
- Two survivors: One familiar face returns, while a new character debuts—both built to endure the escalating chaos.
- Seven drone types: Customise your combat style with versatile new drones. You’ll also find a station that allows you to modify your drones for even more strategic play.
- Seven new enemies: The Solus forces are gathering, and they’ve been busy building new threats. Be prepared to face their latest creations.
- New bosses: Prepare for a brutal Teleporter encounter and a final boss that promises to reshape the endgame experience.
- Fifteen new items: Expand your arsenal with new loot inspired by the rugged environments and the tech-heavy Solus world.

The story behind Alloyed Collective
The Solus Units were never meant to endure. Betrayed, corrupted, and left behind, they’ve been gathering strength, rebuilding from the ruins of their fallen kin. Now, they rise to take back what was lost, fueled by a desire to return home.
New stages to explore
The new environments are all about pushing deeper into Solus territory. Each area feels like trespassing into something mysterious, with every new zone offering unique dangers and rewards. Here’s a sneak peek at the key locations:
- Pretender’s Precipice: A fractured cliffside strewn with broken Solus tech and metal debris. Navigate narrow tunnels through the rusted remains of a fallen Solus.
- Iron Alluvium: A scorching desert mining outpost, built for machines, not humans. Survive its deadly grind and discover hidden loot.
- Repurposed Crater: Once a massive crater, now an industrial stronghold filled with construction rigs and solar arrays, guarded by powerful Solus.
- Conduit Canyon: A narrow canyon pulsing with live conduits, packed with machinery and critical infrastructure. Push through and gain access to the planet’s core.

While we don’t have a release date yet, it’s clear that Alloyed Collective is aiming to expand Risk of Rain 2 with more depth, new gameplay elements, and fresh challenges.
