Resident Evil Requiem is getting closer to release, and NVIDIA is helping build momentum with a fresh tech showcase focused on Raccoon City. It is a short video, but it says a lot about where the game is heading.
The new trailer is a 4K Path Tracing and DLSS 4 showcase. It offers quick glimpses of the city at night, wrapped in darkness and heavy shadows. Raccoon City looks dense, grim, and unsettling, exactly as fans would expect.

The footage briefly follows Grace as she moves through empty streets. Lighting does most of the work here. Street lamps, windows, and reflections create tension without needing action or dialogue.

From a technical angle, Resident Evil Requiem is clearly being positioned as a major PC release. Path tracing allows multiple light sources to cast realistic shadows at the same time. Reflections and refractions through glass look far more natural than traditional lighting.

This makes environments feel reactive rather than static. It is something that directly affects mood and immersion.
DLSS 4 helps balance this visual jump with smoother performance. According to Capcom, the game has been optimised across a wide range of PC setups, not just high-end machines.
The game will also launch on GeForce Now. Players will be able to access RTX 5080-level hardware with DLSS 4 enabled through cloud streaming.

With Resident Evil Requiem launching on February 27, 2026, this showcase feels like a quiet statement. The tech is there, but the atmosphere is doing the real talking.
