Capcom brought fresh chills to Gamescom 2025: Opening Night Live with new Resident Evil Requiem gameplay. The footage gave fans their first real look at Grace Ashcroft’s haunting past.

Set three decades after the Raccoon City outbreak, Requiem shifts the spotlight to Grace, a young FBI analyst. Her latest case forces her back into the nightmare she thought was buried, and the trailer teased just how heavy those memories will weigh on her. It’s clear Capcom wants this to feel like a new era for survival horror.
The publisher also teased something bigger beyond the game. Resident Evil will celebrate its 30th anniversary in March 2026. To mark the occasion, Capcom unveiled a new anniversary logo and a striking illustration featuring Grace alongside familiar faces from the series’ long history.
Resident Evil Requiem launches 27 February 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam. Horror fans won’t have to wait long to step back into the darkness.
