A new comparison video reveals that the upcoming PC version of Red Dead Redemption will have better graphics than the PlayStation 5 version. This video, created by Cycu1, shows how the PC version has improved lighting, shadows, and other visual details. The PlayStation 5 version is actually the PS4 version running in backward compatibility mode, which means it doesn’t have the same enhancements as the PC release.

Some of the key improvements on PC include:

  • Better lighting and shadows
  • Improved draw distance (you can see further into the game world)
  • More detailed visuals

These upgrades will make the PC version the most visually stunning and accurate representation of the game’s atmosphere, making it the definitive edition of one of the greatest open-world games ever made.

Red Dead Redemption release date and features

Red Dead Redemption will finally be available on PC on October 29, 14 years after its original release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This PC version is developed by Double Eleven and comes with several exclusive features:

  • Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide Support: Play the game on wider screens for a more immersive experience.
  • HDR10 Support: Better colour and brightness in the game visuals.
  • NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 Support: These technologies improve the game’s performance and frame rate, making it smoother to play.
  • Keyboard and Mouse Support: PC players can use the keyboard and mouse for better control.

The PC version also includes the popular Undead Nightmare expansion, which adds zombies to the game. However, like the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions, it will not have any multiplayer features.
