Tarsier Studios is back, and they’re bringing nightmares with them, literally. Their upcoming cooperative horror adventure, REANIMAL, is now officially set to launch on Switch 2, alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC (Steam). No release date yet, but the anticipation is already building.

This is the same team that brought us Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II, so expect that same unsettling, eerie atmosphere, only this time, you won’t be alone. REANIMAL follows a brother and sister on a desperate mission to save their missing friends, venturing through a twisted island filled with grotesque horrors. You’ll navigate by land and sea, working together to solve puzzles, evade nightmarish creatures, and uncover the dark secrets lurking in the shadows.

A deeper dive into the darkness

  • Horror with hopeREANIMAL isn’t just about scares—it’s about survival. The game builds tension through atmosphere and story, as two orphans cling to each other for hope in a world that’s anything but forgiving.
  • A world filled with secrets – The main path is just the beginning. Exploration will reward you with eerie locations, hidden stories, and unsettling discoveries that make the world feel larger and more terrifying.
  • Monsters with meaning – Every creature you encounter has a purpose, shaped by the protagonists’ fears and past traumas. Expect grotesque, beautifully twisted designs that are both haunting and oddly tragic.
  • Co-op horror done right – Play solo or with a friend in local or online co-op. The game’s directed camera keeps things tight and claustrophobic, amplifying the terror while ensuring you and your partner stay in sync.
