Ubisoft has unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X, launching on 10 June. The update introduces Dual Front, a new 6v6 mode, along with core game improvements, enhanced visuals, an audio overhaul, and better player protection. Siege X will also make the game free-to-play, allowing more players to experience its tactical action. A closed beta for Dual Front is live until 19 March on PC (Ubisoft Connect), PS5, and Xbox.

Dual Front – A new 6v6 mode

Siege X is set on the District map, Dual Front splits two teams of six into attack and defence, with objective points active in both lanes. Players must plant and defend a sabotage kit to capture enemy sectors, progressing toward the final Base objective. Attackers and defenders can now be on the same team, creating new tactical possibilities. Respawning and a neutral sector add depth, allowing flanking and strategic repositioning. Limited-time assignments also provide extra rewards.

  • Rappel enhancements – Smoother animations, horizontal sprinting, and better corner manoeuvring.
  • Audio overhaul – Improved sound propagation for more precise enemy tracking.
  • New communication tools – A better ping system for non-verbal callouts.
  • Weapon inspect – Check cosmetics mid-match.
  • Ranked improvements – A simultaneous pick-and-ban system speeds up team selections, with new choices when switching sides.
  • Better onboarding – Tutorials and skill training for new players.
