FluidFury Interactive just dropped a new Quantic River trailer, and it’s a flashy one. Titled Zenmetsu Gameplay, the trailer gives us a proper look at the game’s sharp katana combat, destructible environments, and slick dual-layered level design. A Kickstarter campaign is also on the way, so keep an eye out if you’re looking to support it early.
Quantic River: Zenmetsu gameplay trailer
Set in a dystopian cyberpunk world, Quantic River is a 2.5D action game with a focus on speed, style, and exploration. It’s heading to PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.

Combat looks fast and fluid, centred around precise parries, counter-attacks, and chaining moves together. You’re not just slicing enemies either walls, crates, and parts of the environment can be cut through in real time, opening up creative paths and sneaky shortcuts.

The game’s cybernetic upgrades also play a big role. You can tweak your abilities to suit your style, whether that’s boosting mobility, hacking skills, or slowing down time using the Quantum Anomaly system. This overheat-based mechanic gives you more breathing room in the middle of chaotic fights, or lets you break the pace to line up the perfect strike.

Exploration is layered literally. Levels are built with dual routes, offering depth for speedrunners and explorers alike. You’ll also be able to hijack security cameras to spot enemies, unlock hidden paths, and disable traps from a distance.

The Kickstarter is coming soon. Until then, the Quantic River Zenmetsu trailer should be enough to get you hyped.
