Wolcen Studio has announced a new free-to-play game called Project Pantheon for PC. This exciting mix of action RPG and extraction shooter promises fast-paced combat and high-stakes gameplay. The closed alpha test is set to start soon, with European players diving in from 25th to 26th of January and North American players from 1st to 2nd of February.
Game director Andrei Chirculete described the game as a blend of Diablo and Escape from Tarkov. He said, “Project Pantheon is what would happen if Diablo and Escape from Tarkov had a baby—a fusion of different, exciting gameplays. We are eager to see how our players react!”
About Project Pantheon
Project Pantheon takes place in a dark fantasy afterlife where players are recruited by Death to restore balance to a shattered reality. The game combines player-versus-player and player-versus-environment combat, with players exploring maps, battling enemies, and securing valuable loot. However, the stakes are high—if you fail, you lose your gear.
The game also includes a hidden fortress where players can upgrade their base, customise loadouts, and experiment with gear to find the best playstyle. An open market allows players to trade loot and support each other.
Exploring the world
The game’s post-apocalyptic world is inspired by myths and cultures from around the globe. Players will start their journey in The Realm of Fate, a unique reimagining of Nordic mythology.
Wolcen Studio has been working on the game for over a year and is committed to involving the community in its development. Closed alpha testers will play a vital role in shaping the game’s future.
