Ubisoft has shared a small update on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The team says they’re still hard at work. No trailer. No new footage. Just a message saying progress is being made.
The update was posted on the official Prince of Persia X account. Ubisoft said, “Yep, we’re still deep in the game.” They added, “The team truly cares and is putting heart (and coffee) into every step.”
Sands are still shifting behind the scenes
Ubisoft also reminded fans about The Rogue Prince of Persia. The 2D spin-off is out now. So if you want some Prince of Persia action, it’s ready to play.

The post came with a new artwork. It shows a building from the original game. Long-time fans may recognise it.

Sands of Time remake still moving slowly
The remake has had a rough journey. It was first revealed in 2020. Fans weren’t impressed. Ubisoft restarted the whole project. Ubisoft Montreal is now handling the remake.
It’s still planned to be released by March 2026. That’s according to Ubisoft’s recent earnings report. Not much else was shared.
There was no big update at Summer Game Fest. And Ubisoft isn’t hosting a Forward event this year. So don’t expect big news anytime soon.

It’s disappointing, yes. But the remake isn’t cancelled. The team is taking its time. They want to do it right.
Until then, The Rogue Prince of Persia is your best bet.
