PRAGMATA has stepped back into the spotlight with a new demo shown at Gamescom 2025. GameSpot got hands-on time with it and released 15 minutes of gameplay footage, giving us the clearest look yet at Capcom’s mysterious sci-fi project.

The demo introduces Hugh Williams, a member of a lunar expedition team. After a massive quake on the Moon, Hugh is cut off from his squad. Alone and vulnerable, he’s saved by Diana, a powerful android girl who becomes his partner. Together, they must fight through hostile machines and uncover the truth behind the silent lunar facility while searching for a way back to Earth.

Combat relies on teamwork. Enemies are protected by tough armour, and Hugh’s weapons alone won’t break through. Diana’s powers can shatter defences, allowing Hugh to strike at exposed weak points. The result is a battle system built on coordination, where survival depends on using both characters’ abilities.
The demo also highlights puzzle-solving, weapon variety, and a hauntingly detailed world. The visuals lean into Capcom’s promise of an atmospheric sci-fi adventure, though it’s uncertain if Ray Tracing is still supported, as it once was confirmed.
Capcom plans to release PRAGMATA in 2026, and after this demo, it’s clear the wait will be worth watching.
