Sony has unveiled its latest PlayStation Monitor, a 27-inch display designed to bring next-level visuals and smooth gameplay to desktop gamers. With a sharp QHD screen, HDR support, and a clever DualSense charging hook, this monitor is perfect for PS5 and PC players who enjoy gaming at their desk.

Since the release of the PlayStation 5, players have loved the freedom to play wherever they like, from the living room to a quiet corner or even on the go using PlayStation Portal. Now, Sony is taking things a step further with a new monitor made especially for those who prefer a personal, high-quality gaming setup.

Created by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the PlayStation Monitor comes with a 27-inch Quad High Definition (2560 x 1440) IPS display that delivers crisp, colourful, and detailed visuals. It also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) with Auto HDR Tone Mapping, automatically setting up the best picture quality for PS5 and PS5 Pro users.

Gamers can expect a smooth and responsive experience thanks to Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and up to 120 Hz refresh rate on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. PC and Mac users can enjoy even faster refresh rates, up to 240 Hz, for seamless gameplay.

One of the most convenient features is the built-in DualSense Charging Hook. This lets you hang and charge your DualSense or DualSense Edge controller (sold separately) right on the monitor, keeping your gaming area neat and ready for action.

Connectivity options are excellent, too. The PlayStation Monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, two USB Type-A ports, and a USB Type-C port that supports PlayStation Link adapters and other devices. It also features built-in stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm audio jack for easy listening.

Designed for flexibility, it supports VESA mounting, making it easy to adjust your setup just the way you like.

This new monitor pairs perfectly with Sony’s recently announced Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, giving PS5 players both rich sound and stunning visuals for a complete desktop gaming experience.

PlayStation Monitor launch date

The PlayStation Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook is expected to launch in 2026 in the U.S. and Japan. More details on the exact release date and pricing will be shared closer to launch.
