The Phomemo PM241-BT Thermal Printer promises high-speed, inkless printing and Bluetooth connectivity. But does it deliver, or is it another gadget gathering dust?
In the build-up to Christmas last year, I decided I’d try my hand at reselling. You know, buy stuff cheap, sell for a profit. Whether that be clothes, gadgets, or whatever I could get my grubby mitts on. Why? Who knows? I think I was bored. Was it a success? Just about. Have I learnt a lot? Damn straight. But what does this have to do with a review? Well, one thing I thought might help me was investing in a thermal printer, so I reached out to a few companies, and I was fortunate enough to be sent the Phomemo PM241-BT. But does it deliver, or is it another gadget gathering dust?
A gadget I actually needed? Shocking.
When you sell on Vinted as much as I do—whether it’s shifting old belongings, clearing out past review items, or flipping bargains from Tilt—the one thing you quickly realise is that printing shipping labels is a faff. Either you’re queuing at the post office like it’s 1999, or you’re battling a home printer that guzzles ink like an overpriced sponge.
So when I got my hands on the Phomemo PM241-BT thermal printer, I was genuinely hopeful that this wouldn’t be another tech purchase that lives in a cupboard after a week. Spoiler alert: It’s still on my desk.
Now, whilst the main reason I wanted this gadget was to print labels, it can also make stickers as well. And I was lucky enough to be sent a few packs of different labels and stickers by Phomemo so I could really put the PM241-BT to the test.

Setup: Easy enough, but not without quirks
First impressions? It’s smaller than expected. Weighing just 720g, it’s light enough to move around without feeling flimsy. Connecting via Bluetooth is a nice touch too—no more faffing with cables. Although it does come with some so you can also connect it up to your PC.
Setting it up on my phone using Labelife was mostly painless, but there was a slight hiccup with calibration. If you’re using stickers or different label sizes, you’ll need to mess about with the settings to get things aligned properly. A mild frustration, but once sorted, it was smooth sailing.

Printing: Fast, furious, and slightly terrifying
You don’t think about how fast a printer should be—until you see this thing in action. It spits out labels at 150mm/s, which roughly translates to 72 labels per minute. The first time I hit print, I almost had a heart attack.
For shipping labels, the 203 dpi resolution is crisp, and all the barcodes and text come out perfectly readable. But what really threw me off was when I tested the special sticker paper I was sent. Turns out, the thermal printer and that paper interact in a way that makes the print come out blue instead of the standard black. Did I expect this? No. Did it blow my mind? Absolutely.
I even tested printing some branding stickers for our mate over at NinjaRefinery, and the results were solid. If you’re running a small business or just want to add a personal touch to your parcels, this thing does the job.

Who is this for?
If you’re regularly shipping parcels, especially through Vinted, eBay, or Depop, the PM241-BT will save you a ton of time. No ink, no mess, just plug in the label roll and go.
It also supports labels between 25-150mm, meaning it’s not just for postage—great if you’re into warehouse logistics, e-commerce, or even organising your life with neatly printed labels (if that’s your thing).
Final thoughts on the Phomemo PM241-BT: A must-have for sellers?
I went into this hoping for something useful, and for once, I wasn’t disappointed. The Phomemo PM241-BT is compact, easy to use (after the minor calibration learning curve), and ridiculously fast.
Would I recommend it? If you ship a lot of parcels, absolutely. If you print one label every six months, maybe just stick with the post office queue. But for anyone selling on Vinted, flipping Tilt purchases, or running a side hustle, this thing will earn its keep, especially if you use our exclusive 15% discount code FULLSYNC to take a little extra off the full price.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got more stuff to sell and more labels to print on my PM241-BT.
If, like me, you think a thermal printer like this could be a time saver, you can purchase the PM241-BT on the official Phomemo website and use code FULLSYNC with 15% off, along with compatible stickers and labels. While you wait for it to arrive, why not check out some more of our hardware reviews.
