Philips is making a significant move into the professional projection market with the introduction of its ProPix series projectors, powered by its time-proven UHP technology. The launch, managed by Screeneo Innovation SA, the brand license partner for Philips projectors, brings Philips’ extensive projection expertise to the business environment.

Heritage meets innovation

The new series continues the legacy of the Ultra High Performance (UHP) lamp technology, now produced by Signify, a world leader in lighting technology. First developed in 1994 by Philips, UHP lamp technology revolutionised the projection industry with its innovative high-pressure operation—up to 200 atmospheres at operating temperature—enabling exceptional brightness and efficiency in a compact form factor.

The unique design of UHP lamps results in superior stability and longevity compared to conventional lamp technologies of the time. This innovative approach set new standards for projection performance, making it the preferred choice for professional installations worldwide.

Professional reliability, exceptional performance

The flagship ProPix 850 and ProPix 650 projectors harness the power of UHP lamps, delivering impressive 4000 ANSI lumens brightness with remarkable colour stability. Operating at just 29 dBA in Eco Mode, these projectors are a non-intrusive presence in meeting rooms and classrooms. The series achieves an industry-leading lamp life of up to 10,000 hours in Eco Mode—twice the standard expectation.

Versatile connectivity for every environment

Understanding diverse professional needs, the new series offers tailored connectivity options. The ProPix 650 features both HDMI and dual VGA inputs, ensuring seamless integration with legacy systems commonly found in educational institutions and established corporate environments. Meanwhile, the ProPix 850‘s dual HDMI configuration caters to modern digital setups. Both models include RS232 ports for professional AV control systems, USB connectivity, and a 3.5mm audio output for external sound solutions.

Designed for flexible installations

Both ProPix models are engineered for versatile installation scenarios, projecting impressive images from 70″ up to 150″ diagonal. With a throw ratio of 1.49:1, they can create a professional 120″ display from just a 4-metre distance. The lightweight design of 2.5 kg makes them easily portable, while support for multiple aspect ratios (4:3/16:9/16:10/Native) ensures compatibility with various content formats. Both models feature manual focus adjustment and vertical keystone correction of +/- 40 degrees for perfect image alignment, complemented by a 2-watt internal speaker for audio flexibility.
