Palia is finally coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox on 13 May—and it’s not arriving empty-handed. Singularity 6 is rolling out the long-awaited console release alongside a brand new, free expansion called Elderwood. This update also brings full cross-play with existing versions on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam, Epic, GeForce NOW, and Palia.com).

According to Singularity 6 CEO Anthony Leung, this is a big step for the team. “We set out to create Palia as a love letter to life sim fans with a fantasy twist,” he said, calling the console release a chance to “put Palia into the hands of players everywhere.”
Since its open beta launch in 2023, Palia has become a cosy corner for life sim and adventure fans. It’s free-to-play, multiplayer, and filled with customisation, storytelling, and chilled-out exploration. Over 24 content updates have added 800+ decor items, seasonal events, trading systems, and relaxing music—all designed to help players feel at home in their virtual world.

The new Elderwood expansion opens up a magical forest zone with plenty to discover. Players will meet returning characters like Nai’o and Subira, take on new quests, and track down unique creatures like the aggressive Ogapuu or the elusive Shmole. You’ll also be able to uncover hidden Artifacts that unlock a new equipment type—Relics, which give your party special buffs.

There’s even more coming with Elderwood: new fish, bugs, plushes, and home decor items to keep your space fresh. And if you’re bringing friends along, Palia is relaunching its “Refer a Friend” programme. Invite a buddy, and you can earn the new Elderwood Fun Guy Plush in five sizes. Missed out on previous referral rewards? You’ll get another shot.

Whether you’re building a dream home or just vibing with friends, 13 May is a great time to jump back into Palia—or start fresh on console.
