The story takes a sharp turn with the arrival of a fanatic group obsessed with anomalies. Hidden deep in the forest, they’ll set the stage for a new, fully voiced narrative that runs alongside the main campaign. According to Ironwood, this isn’t just more of the same – it’s a scarier, more unsettling take on the Zone.
At the heart of this Pacific Drive expansion are Artifacts, a new system inspired by the game’s quirks. Each Artifact comes with a condition and an effect, creating both advantages and bizarre drawbacks. One example? Jump, and your car horn blares. Another? Every honk damages your vehicle. Stack a few of these together and runs can spiral into chaos fast.
Players can also expect new anomalies, new items to collect, and more secrets hidden in the woods. Ironwood calls this both a treat for long-time drivers and the perfect entry point for newcomers.
