One-Eyed Likho launches 28 July, a haunting tale from Slavic folklore

One-Eyed Likho, a first-person horror adventure by Morteshka, will release on PC via Steam on 28 July. An old Slavic fairy tale inspires it, and it looks dark, eerie, and deeply unsettling.

You play as someone trapped in a cursed world. Your goal? Find Likho and escape before your fate catches up with you. But Likho isn’t just a creature, it’s bad luck given form. One-eyed, cloaked in black, and always watching.

The entire game world is rendered in greyscale. It looks cold and lifeless. The style fits the mood, bleak, mysterious, and full of tension.

This is not a fast-paced horror. There are no loud jump scares. Instead, you explore, uncover secrets, and solve puzzles. Bit by bit, you learn the truth. And it’s not pretty.

One-Eyed Likho blends folklore and fear

The story is pulled straight from 19th-century Slavic tales. It’s folk horror at its core. Everything from the setting to the sounds feels like it came from a forgotten nightmare.

There’s also a fire mechanic. You’ll need to light matches and use flames to find your way and solve puzzles. It adds pressure. Your light can burn out at the worst moments.

If you like dark fairy tales, eerie worlds, and horror that lingers in your mind, One-Eyed Likho might be for you.

You can wishlist it now on Steam. The evil awaits on 28 July.
