NVIDIA is rolling out major upgrades for Project G-Assist and the NVIDIA App, boosting performance and unlocking new tools across RTX GPUs.

Project G-Assist, the on-device AI assistant for system control, now uses 40% less VRAM. It’s faster, lighter, and more responsive while automatically picking the right plugins for tasks. Support has also widened to all RTX GPUs with 6GB or more VRAM, instead of the previous 12GB limit.

RTX laptops are gaining new commands too, letting users adjust Max-Q, Battery Boost, and Battery Ops on the fly. With Mod.io plugins now installable directly through G-Assist, there’s more customisation than ever.

NVIDIA App upgrades bring DLSS overrides and legacy settings

The App is also evolving. Global DLSS overrides are finally here, letting you enable Multi-Frame Generation or Super Resolution across hundreds of games with a single toggle. Smooth Motion, previously locked behind beta drivers, is now official for RTX 40 GPUs, offering frame-gen benefits in titles without native DLSS.

NVIDIA hasn’t forgotten its roots either. The App now includes highly requested legacy 3D settings, from anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing to ambient occlusion and Surround. In total, ten classic settings are returning to give players more control, especially for older games.
