CRKD has announced the Nitro Deck 2, a new controller made for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. It also works with the original Switch and the Switch OLED, so players can use it right away without changing anything. The company says the new version offers a better feel in the hands, smoother controls, and more ways to play.
The Nitro Deck 2 is built to hold your console for handheld gaming, but it also has a smart removable middle part. When you remove this centre piece, it quickly turns into a normal pro-style controller. This means you can keep playing even when your console is docked on the TV. It is a simple idea that gives players more freedom and comfort.
Inside the controller, CRKD uses its special CaptiStick Technology. It works with a capacitor-based system that removes the chance of stick drift. Since it has no physical contact inside the stick, it aims to last longer and stay accurate for years. The design also blocks electromagnetic interference, helping the sticks stay steady during fast games.
Players can also fine-tune the controller using the CRKD Companion App. This lets them adjust controls, set up their own style, and make the controller feel perfect for their play.
CRKD will offer the Nitro Deck 2 in two colours: Smoke Black and White. Both versions come with metallic-coloured stick bases that help the controller look more premium and stand out from other handheld accessories.

The first shipments are planned for Spring 2026, and pre-orders are open now for anyone who wants to be among the first to try this new upgrade for handheld gaming.
