If you’ve ever watched a race weekend and thought, “That rider’s on one today… and the game should reflect that,” MotoGP 26 is trying to make it happen. Milestone and MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group have confirmed the next entry in the official series is launching on 29 April 2026, complete with a new Dynamic Rider Ratings system, rider-based handling, and a more involved Career mode built around life away from the track as well as on it.

MotoGP 26 platforms

MotoGP 26 is set for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X, and PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and *Epic Games Store.

Dynamic Rider Ratings

The headline feature for MotoGP 26 is the new rider rating cards, built around four attributes: lap time, pace, head-to-head, and reliability. Those values aren’t static either, with Milestone saying they’ll update based on real-world performances, meaning riders’ form can influence the balance of the grid across modes (including Career).

In theory, that’s a neat way to keep the game feeling “current” without needing sweeping changes every few weeks. In practice, it means you’ll want to check who’s hot before you assume the usual suspects will carry you.

Rider-based handling and official 2026 content

MotoGP 26 includes all official riders and tracks for the 2026 season across MotoGP™, Moto2™, and Moto3™, with an upgraded physics model tied to rider-based handling. Instead of the bike feeling like it’s doing all the work, you’ll be managing the rider’s weight and movement to control stability and response at speed.

Career mode now lives in a 3D paddock

Career gets the biggest structural shake-up, with a fully 3D paddock acting as your hub across a race weekend. Two new features are doing the heavy lifting here:

  • Thursday press conferences, where you set short- and long-term goals (including calling out rivals or pushing for faster development).
  • A personal manager, handling contracts, meetings, and guiding your decisions through the Rider’s Market.

It sounds like Milestone is aiming for more of that “weekend narrative” feel, where what you do off-track feeds into what happens on it.

Race Off returns, now with Production Bikes

The Race Off mode is back as the “take a breather, still go fast” option, now expanded with a new location and a new 1000cc Production Bikes category joining Motard, Flat Track, and Minibikes.

Multiplayer and customisation

Online play supports cross-play (with full 22-rider grids in online lobbies) and split-screen support returns for offline rivalry. There’s also a familiar creative angle, with advanced graphic editors for helmets, numbers, and buttpatch designs, plus sharing tools for the community.

Nintendo note: cross-play and cross-sharing aren’t available on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, and those versions run smaller online grids (12 riders).
