Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will get a major overhaul with Title Update 4, focusing on CPU and GPU performance. The update is set for Winter 2025, though it could easily slip into early 2026.
The game’s launch back in February was messy. Visual quality was inconsistent, and performance barely changed across different graphics settings. Players on both PC and consoles reported stutters, making hunts feel rough instead of smooth. For a game built on the RE Engine, the lack of polish was a surprise.
To our hunters playing #MHWilds on PC, we're committed to listening to your feedback and improving both performance and stability of the game.

Monster Hunter Wilds update 4
Capcom says the patch will roll out in stages. The first wave of fixes will bring core CPU and GPU optimisations, while a second set of improvements will follow later. It’s an ambitious plan, but one the game badly needs.
If Capcom delivers on its promises, Update 4 could finally stabilise Monster Hunter Wilds. But if the wait drags on, the game risks cementing its place among 2025’s most poorly optimised PC releases.
