Monster Hunter Wilds gets its second free update on June 30, as announced by Capcom. The update brings back two iconic monsters: Lagiacrus and Seregios. It also adds layered weapons, new support hunters, and more.
Monster Hunter Wilds gets Lagiacrus and Seregios in Title Update 2
Lagiacrus, last seen in Generations Ultimate, returns with updated mechanics. This Leviathan now includes special underwater-style moves. Yuya Tokuda, the game’s director, said this version is true to his original design.
Seregios also joins the hunt. It made its first appearance in the West in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The wyvern is now faster and hits harder. It will challenge players with fast-paced combat.
Both monsters will become 8★ Tempered quests. These are available for hunters who are HR41 or above.

New content and features in the update
Arch-tempered Uth Duna arrives on July 30. It comes in an Event Quest and a Challenge Quest. Players who win can earn new armour: Uth Duna γ and Felyne Uth Duna γ.
Hunters can also unlock Layered Weapons. This happens when you craft the final weapon in a tree, Rarity 8 Artian weapons, or High-Rank Palico weapons.
New Photo Mode features are added. You can now use filters, control brightness, and hide characters like your Handler or Palico.
Erik, the biologist, can now act as your handler. A new Support Hunter, Mina, also joins with a Sword & Shield. Players can now choose which Support Hunters to bring into the field.

Flamefete, Rathalos guitar, and DLC
From July 23, a new event starts: The Festival of Accord: Flamefete. It brings new decorations, limited-time meals, gestures, and gear.

Then, on August 27, a special guitar emote becomes available. It’s the Rathalos Telecaster, made by Fender. You can get it through a limited-time Event Quest.
The update includes free and paid DLC:
- 4 free dance gestures
- Paid cosmetic items
- Cosmetic DLC Pack 2, included in the Premium Deluxe Edition and Cosmetic DLC Pass
