The sci-fi shooter METAL EDEN is getting a free demo on April 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam. Publisher PLAION and developer Reikon Games confirmed the demo will be available indefinitely, so there’s no rush—you can jump in anytime and experience the game’s intense combat and upgrade systems.
Demo details
The demo includes Mission 0 and Mission 1, giving players a proper introduction to METAL EDEN’s cybernetic warfare.
- Mission 0 is a tutorial, covering the basics while teasing the mystery behind ASKA’s mission. She’s an android who can be reprinted after death, meaning every failure is just a chance to come back stronger.
- Mission 1: Paradise Lost cranks up the action. Encounters start simple but quickly demand strategic thinking. This mission also introduces the Body Modules and Weapon Upgrades, letting players customise ASKA’s abilities.

About METAL EDEN
The new gameplay trailer dives into METAL EDEN’s core loop—death, reprinting, and non-stop improvement. It opens with ASKA discovering her own lifeless body and extracting her core, setting up the game’s brutal cycle. Each time she dies, she’s reprinted, learns from her mistakes, and fights harder.
The action escalates as ASKA tears through enemies with raw power and speed, culminating in her wielding the devastating Gatling Gun—a weapon built for absolute destruction. This moment cements the power fantasy at the heart of METAL EDEN.
A world of cybernetic warfare
In a future where human consciousness lives inside machines, METAL EDEN delivers an intense FPS experience. With eight handcrafted missions, deep upgrades, and high-speed combat, players will battle through a digital warzone, uncovering the secrets of a lost paradise.
