Seasun Games has announced that Mecha BREAK‘s “Global Storm” open beta test is set to launch on February 23 for Xbox Series and PC via Steam. The beta is free and open to all players, bringing a full taste of the game’s high-intensity mech combat ahead of its official release later this year.

What’s in the beta?

Everything from the launch version of Mecha BREAK will be playable, including:

  • The opening tutorial and introduction
  • Character and mech customization
  • An explorable space station
  • Three core game modes: six-versus-six Operation VERGE, three-versus-three Ace Arena, and the all-new PvPvE mode Mashmak
  • A training room
  • Thirteen unique mechs, or “Strikers”

New updates include reworked maps, a player reputation system, balance adjustments, combat finishing moves, and fresh customization options.

Introducing Mashmak mode

The Mecha BREAK beta also introduces Mashmak, a large-scale PvPvE mode set on the Mashmak Isles, home to the Eruptive Inorganic Carbide (EIC), or “Corite”—a resource now at the center of an all-out war. With Theia’s Vanguard tightening its grip on the region, the battle for control has triggered Corite pulse storms, deadly anomalies that can consume everything in their path.

To survive, pilots will have access to new equipment like weapon pickups and weaponized gliders, adding fresh tactical depth to close-quarters combat, healing, sniping, and suppression. As battles escalate, even more advanced weapons will unlock for those who can handle the pressure.

Mecha BREAK launch details

The beta runs from February 23 and is available to all players on Xbox Series and PC via Steam. The full game is set to launch later this year, with a PlayStation 5 release coming in 2025.
