Mafia: The Old Country has dropped its biggest update yet, and it adds plenty of new ways to play. The new Free Ride update brings Classic difficulty, new races, fresh combat challenges, and more options to explore the world at your own pace.
Classic difficulty is the standout feature. It makes every fight tougher by forcing you to manage both health and ammunition carefully. If you enjoy slower, more tactical gameplay, this mode changes the pace in a big way. The update also adds new horse and car races, giving you more to do outside the main story.

Fresh combat and new tools
Replayable combat challenges are now available, letting you test your skills as often as you like. There is also a new first-person driving view, which helps you feel the speed more closely, and a full Photo Mode for capturing the game’s best moments.
The new Cinema Siciliano filter gives the whole game a black-and-white look inspired by classic Italian films. Alongside this, the update adds new vehicles, guns, knives, outfits, and charms for players to collect.

The game launched in early August to strong reviews. 2K has said sales are beating expectations, and actress Carina Conti has hinted that a new entry may already be in discussion. It isn’t confirmed yet, but Hangar 13 seems likely to continue this cinematic direction.
