Reburn, the independent studio formerly known as 4A Games Ukraine, has unveiled La Quimera, a narrative-driven sci-fi first-person shooter set in a dystopian Latin America. Running on the 4A Engine, the game will be available on PC via Steam, though a release date has yet to be announced.
A new world from the creators of Metro
In a press release, Reburn founder and CEO Dmytro Lymar highlighted the studio’s dedication to immersive storytelling. “Reburn is proud to introduce La Quimera, which draws upon our success crafting narrative-driven shooter games for the Metro series. We look forward to sharing this mysterious new world with players and hope they revel in suiting up to join the fight.”
A war-torn future in Latin America
Set in the year 2064, La Quimera takes place in a world where nation-states have collapsed, leaving behind fragmented microstates that rely on private military companies (PMCs) instead of national armies. As a PMC operative, players will navigate a high-stakes battlefield spanning neon-lit megacities and dense jungles, fighting against rival factions in a world torn apart by corporate conflicts.
La Quimera supports solo and co-op play for up to three players, letting squads coordinate tactics, combine firepower, and share resources. Players will equip exoskeletons, advanced weaponry, and combat abilities to take on human and robotic foes.
