The PlayStation Store has updated the Kingdom Come: Deliverance product description, revealing a PS5 upgrade for the medieval RPG. There has been no official announcement yet, but the details are already live on the store page.

According to the listing, the PS5 version will support 4K resolution. It will also feature an improved framerate and high-resolution textures. Medieval Bohemia is set to look cleaner, sharper, and smoother than before.

This lines up with a rumour from October 2025, which suggested a current-gen upgrade was planned for early 2026. While Warhorse Studios has stayed quiet, the timing feels deliberate.

A smart move after Kingdom Come II’s success

The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched in 2018 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. It built a strong reputation thanks to its realistic combat, slow storytelling, and focus on historical accuracy. It was demanding, but deeply rewarding.

Last year’s release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II showed how far the series has come. The sequel impressed with better pacing, cinematic moments, and strong performances across the board.

With that in mind, upgrading the first game makes sense. It gives new players a smoother entry point and lets returning fans revisit the story without the old technical limits.

This appears to be a straightforward upgrade rather than a full re-release. An Xbox version also feels likely. For now, PS5 players finally have a reason to ride back into Bohemia.
