Fans of the legendary Killing Floor franchise have reason to celebrate! Tripwire Interactive has just announced that Killing Floor 3 will launch globally on July 24 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox. After a delay from the original March 25 release date, the development team has taken the time to address community feedback, aiming to deliver a more refined and immersive experience.

Why the delay?

The delay wasn’t just about fixing bugs—it was about perfecting the game. Since postponing the release, Tripwire Interactive has kept fans updated with insights into the progress, covering areas like design, artwork, UI, and animations. This transparency has built anticipation, as the studio consistently shares its development journey through official forums and social channels.

Bryan Wynia, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive, shared his thoughts:

“Since delaying the launch of Killing Floor 3, we’ve dedicated the additional development time to responding to the community’s feedback, ensuring the next chapter in the much-loved cult action/horror franchise lives up to our shared vision. The support from our fans has been incredible.”

What to expect from Killing Floor 3

Set in the dystopian future of 2091, Killing Floor 3 takes players into a chaotic world where Horzine, a megacorporation, has unleashed hordes of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds. The only force fighting back? A rogue rebel group known as Nightfall.

As a Nightfall specialist, you’ll join up to five teammates in intense co-op battles, taking on relentless waves of enemies while upgrading your arsenal and unlocking new skills. Expect brutal firefights, terrifying enemies, and a hauntingly immersive atmosphere.

Pre-orders and editions

Digital pre-orders are back online, with three editions available:

  • Standard Edition
  • Deluxe Edition
  • Elite Nightfall Edition

All editions can be pre-ordered on the respective platform store pages, allowing players to secure their preferred version before launch.
