Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is getting a new chapter this year, and fans have a lot to look forward to. Titled The Order of Giants, this new downloadable content will be available on 4 September 2025. It’s being developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, continuing the story with more mystery, danger, and ancient secrets.
The Order of Giants DLC takes place alongside the main campaign and focuses on the mysterious Nephilim Order. These ancient giants were briefly introduced earlier in the game, but this time, they play a much bigger role. The story sends Indiana Jones deep into Rome, where hidden societies and forgotten legends wait beneath the city’s surface.
Indy’s next adventure leads to the heart of Rome
The Order of Giants’ journey begins when Indy meets Father Ricci, a young priest who needs help finding a strange artefact. What starts as a simple favour soon becomes something much more serious. Players will follow Indy through the crypts beneath Vatican City and even explore the River Tiber, where secrets lie hidden in plain sight.
New locations across Rome are open for exploration, including the Cloaca Maxima, an old Roman sewer system that hides more than just broken stone. There are fresh puzzles, new enemies, and more layers of the Nephilim’s history to discover. One of the standout parts of the DLC is a hidden gladiator arena built by Emperor Nero. Enemies fight dirty here, and there are no rules in the pit.
A dangerous cult and familiar enemies
This new story also introduces a group called the Cult of Mithras. They’re determined to keep their secrets safe, and they’ll do anything to stop Indy from uncovering the truth. Alongside this new threat, players will see the return of Father Ventura and Mussolini, adding more tension to the story as old enemies and allies come back into play.
John Jennings, Production Director at MachineGames, said, “One of the most satisfying parts of working on this game was creating the Nephilim Order. Their story is vast; it spans thousands of years. With this DLC, we’re able to explore new angles and share parts of their world that didn’t fit in the original campaign.”
How to get The Order of Giants DLC
If you already own the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade, Collector’s Edition, or Collector’s Bundle, then you’ll get The Order of Giants for free. Everyone else can buy the DLC when it launches on 4 September 2025.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
