Publisher Maximum Entertainment and developer Breakfirst Games have announced How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine, the latest entry in the cooperative puzzle series. It’s coming in 2025 to PS5, Xbox, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam.

A high-stakes mission

The world is on the brink of disaster. An allied military base has been captured, and a torpedo strike is en route to reclaim it. But after negotiations, the strike is cancelled—except the submarine carrying the torpedo, The Triumphant, is out of contact.

With time running out, expert officers Haurée and Leroy are sent to locate the submarine and deliver the new orders. But tensions are high beneath the surface, and the crew’s divided loyalties may make things even harder.

Two players, two roles

How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine sticks to the series’ signature co-op formula, where communication is key. One player explores the submarine, searching for clues and interacting with the environment. The other uses a free companion app on their smartphone to access vital intel.

You’ll need logic, coordination, and sharp observation to crack puzzles, navigate moral dilemmas, and stop the torpedo before it’s too late.

How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine key features

  • Co-op puzzle-solving – Work together to escape the submarine and change its course.
  • Cross-platform play – Team up on different devices.
  • One copy required – Only one player needs to own the game; the second uses the free companion app.
  • Challenging puzzles – Increasing difficulty keeps things fresh.
  • Simple controls – Easy to pick up, hard to put down.

If you enjoyed the original How 2 Escape, this sequel promises more depth, more challenge, and even higher stakes. Keep an eye out for its launch in 2025!
