Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to the Switch 2, but Team Cherry still isn’t ready to give us a release date. The highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight will now launch on Nintendo’s next-gen console alongside its previously confirmed platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG, Humble Store). It’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.

A new kingdom, new challenges

Playing as Hornet, the fierce princess-protector of Hallownest, you’ll navigate a vast, mysterious world filled with silk, song, and danger. Captured and transported to a foreign land, you must fight through hordes of foes, solve deep mysteries, and climb to the kingdom’s peak.

Team Cherry promises a game just as rich and immersive as the original, with expanded combat and exploration mechanics. Expect fast-paced, acrobatic action as you wield Hornet’s agile moves to battle new enemies and traverse intricate environments.

Hollow Knight: Silksong new features

  • A whole new world – Explore coral forests, mossy grottos, misty moors, and towering cities, all leading to a grand citadel at the top of the world.
  • Acrobatic combat – Master an entirely new set of moves, dodging and striking with speed and precision.
  • Crafting tools – Build weapons, traps, and gadgets to outsmart enemies and reach new areas.
  • Epic quests – Track down rare creatures, uncover ancient mysteries, and bring hope to a fallen kingdom.
  • 150+ new enemies – Face beasts, assassins, monsters, and warriors, each with unique challenges.
  • A stunning soundtrack – Christopher Larkin returns with another haunting orchestral score, blending melancholic melodies with intense battle themes.
  • Silk Soul mode – A post-game challenge mode that reshapes the adventure into an even greater test of skill.
