Halo 5: Guardians has been a popular game on Microsoft Xbox since it was released in October 2015. For almost ten years, fans have been hoping it would come to PC, but the game has stayed exclusive to Xbox. Recently, excitement grew when a picture on Lenovo’s Legion Go S product page showed a Steam menu with an entry for Halo 5.

This discovery, shared online by Rebs Gaming, sparked a lot of chatter among fans. Many started to believe the game might finally make its way to PC. Some even thought an announcement could happen during the upcoming Xbox Developer_Direct on January 23.

343 Industries, now known as Halo Studios, has already brought five Halo games to PC through the Halo: Master Chief Collection. However, Halo 5: Guardians has been missing, leaving many fans disappointed.

Over the weekend, Lenovo’s senior community manager, Ben Green, addressed the leaked image. He explained that Lenovo had not revealed any plans for a Halo 5 PC version and suggested that the marketing team might have made a mistake when creating the promo picture.

Microsoft has been working to bring more of its popular games to PC and other platforms, so fans are still holding out hope. While this may not have been a real leak, the upcoming Xbox event could still have surprises in store. For now, Halo 5 fans will have to wait to see if their dream of playing the game on PC comes true.
